Witnessing a loved one suffering from mental illness has been heart wrenching on many levels. Many, many years of mental institution stays, unsuccessful housing arrangements and general lack of support were only contributing to an already difficult situation. Over a year ago our family had the amazing fortune when a care home run and managed by Affirm Care was offered as an option for our brother. Since he has moved there, everything has changed. He is happy for the first time in thirty years, and is so proud to have us come to ‘his’ home. He lives there with two other residents and full time rotating carers, who help with cooking, cleaning and general home management. The staff at Affirm Care are so patient, caring and kind, and really support him in independent living and being back in the community. They are very responsive to his needs and ensure they are met. All our dealings with Affirm Care have been amazing, and we feel part of a bigger family. We 100% recommend Affirm Care - please do not hesitate to get in touch with them - they are human angels.
