I am a Community Nurse with Affirm Care.

Being a community nurse means I provide clinical care in a person’s own home in the community.

I am exposed to different clients, different clinical tasks, assessments, and challenges.

Working as a community nurse allows me to gain more skills, than in a hospital setting – which in turn broadens my clinical experience and enhances my professional and personal development.

I like working as a community nurse because of the flexible hours that suit my lifestyle and commitments. It’s never boring. Every day is different!!

During my time at Affirm Care, I have been able to develop and grow in other clinical areas such as paediatrics and supporting people with ABIs.

Working mostly on my own means I need support. My manager is supportive, provides guidance and is keen to support me find solutions to challenges together.  The support structure at Affirm Care is strong and amazing!
